The story of eNest Technologies begins in 2009, in the industrious heart of Ludhiana, Punjab, where Jagdeep Chawla, a former physics teacher with a clear vision for the future, established the company during a period of growing technological opportunity. Driven by a desire to create meaningful impact through technology, he transitioned from academia to entrepreneurship with a focus on software development and innovation.
With a strong foundation in physics and an insatiable curiosity for computing, he mastered the Microsoft .NET framework and built the foundation of eNest Technologies. From the beginning, the company has been rooted in technical excellence, agile project delivery, and an unwavering commitment to delivering scalable, high-performance software solutions for businesses around the globe. Over the years, eNest has grown into a trusted technology partner for clients across diverse industries and international markets.

But at the heart of this evolution was a deeper calling—healthcare.The Biomedical AI Shift: From Software to Science
In pursuit of his growing passion for data science and its applications in medicine, Jagdeep Chawla enrolled in the Master of Science in Data Science program at Northwestern University—a globally renowned leader in interdisciplinary AI and analytics. His experience there became a pivotal moment in the company’s journey.
The intersection of machine learning, clinical data, and biomedical signal processing revealed new pathways to impact humanity. Upon completing his MS, Jagdeep Chawla redefined the strategic direction of eNest Technologies, establishing the eNest Biomedical AI Lab—an innovation arm dedicated to transforming healthcare with artificial intelligence.
A United States Presence
In 2026 we established eNest USA, Inc., a Delaware corporation wholly owned by eNest Technologies, to hold our United States client relationships and contracts under US law. Our US office is at BioLabs for Advanced Therapeutics in Philadelphia, within the city’s life-sciences community. The US company leads client engagement, project governance and regulatory and compliance liaison for our North American work, and we plan to build a US team through 2027. Engineering delivery continues from our centre in Mohali under an intercompany agreement.
